Crocheted Earrings

I went to Wallies this week and purchased some inexpensive hoop earrings as I wanted to try doing beading with crochet.  So along with the hoops I got some size 10 crochet thread (which btw I never crochet with that small size thread as I didn't think I could do it at this stage of my life.. size 3 yes but not 10!)
Also picked up the tiny beads and boy are they ever tiny!  I decided to just do a simple two rows of single crochet adding the bead every third sc.
What almost made me throw the whole project down and NO WAY Jose' was when I made my first attempt to thread those beads on the thread.  But since I am NOT a quiter I sat there looking at those beads with the tiny hole thinking what is a good way to pull the thread through that Puka (hole)!
So what I did was trim the thread slanted and wet it how we do to regular thread that needs to go through a needle.. when I saw the tip coming out the other side I got my tweezers and yanked that bugger through!  Then proceeded with my project.  I am aware that these beaded crochet earrings do no look professional but by golly I saw it through to the end! LOL  At least I get an idea of using beads in crocheting and if I get better at it I might just might make some up for Christmas presents for my girls and granddaughters.  I have another earring pattern to try.. The one I did in the above picture was my own simple pattern.. that was made up today June 11,2011.

As you can see I am just learning to make crocheted earrings. The other day I decided to try to make "Star" shaped earrings and they turned out OK though in the below picture they look bigger than they really are. I am going to try starching them to see how that would work out.  I am still learning to add beads as you can see.

Here is another pair that I experimented with to make "Dangling" earrings.

These are my Jade dangling earrings that Shout out to me that I need to practice ,practice! LOL  But these are not from a pattern .. just my trying to make me some dangling earrings! LOL  I hope later on as I practice practice crocheting earrings I can look at my first attempts with a good chuckle!!
The "Star" and "Dangling" earrings were created June 21.2011.  And thats all I have to say about THAT!
